Finishing up 2016, with the rest of December! 2016 was a year of lots of change for our family. My favorite part was the addition of our happy little caboose baby. He is such a bright spot amidst all the chaos of this year and worth every second of my difficult pregnancy. He is a miracle to us. I feel like we have been on the receiving end of so many prayers and service and I just feel so grateful! We are grateful for our many blessings and hope for a quieter 2017!
This is out of order, but this is our annual "Ticket to Ride" NYE tournament. This year we included the boys...and got beat by our oldest. Trying to figure out when they got so big!
NYE
65 degrees in December calls for some serious time at the park. We love Colorado!
Mimi sent us a pass to the Nature and Science Center. We got to go after Christmas as a family and it was so much fun!
The mountains we see out our window at home everyday. Greta to know which one is which!
Now that Cannon is more mobile, it's become more difficult to do tasks like laundry. ha! This is how I contained him one afternoon and he was happy as a clam! haha!
Doing his best to watch the TV.
Off to Church to celebrate the birth of our Savior:
Someone really loves her new ballet costume as she gets ready to start dance class!
Christmas Day lego building
Baby's first Christmas!
Christmas morning 2016! Santa came and I have 4 happy kids. One of them (a cute 7 year old boy named Parker) didn't quite catch that he was supposed to wait for everyone to wake up to check things out. AT 4:45 a.m he'd been through his stocking and peeked in everyone else's. When he learned he wasn't supposed to have done that he meticulously put everything back exactly how it had been and pretended to be just as excited as if he hadn't already seen what Santa brought. It was quite convincing. ha! The biggest excited fists of the day came from Brody giving Jared the Gryffindor robe the boys picked out for him. It was a magical day and we are grateful for 1 o'clock church this year!
Checking out the nativity at the Denver temple on Christmas Eve
As good of a picture as I was going to get on Christmas Eve. They were just too excited. We packed in a lot on Christmas Eve, but the highlight for me was bringing our neighbors treats and meeting our new neighbors from Nepal. They invited our whole crew in and gave us a dessert from Nepal. It was so kind. New jimmies, 58 degree weather, gingerbread houses, pipe bells, Cafe Rio, Polar Express, reading the Nativity, and more sugar than we ever need! I'm so grateful for this little bunch and the time we get to spend as a family. Merry Christmas!
I got tired of the daily hair battle and got a little crazy with the scissors. Oops! I kinda chopped it!
I can freeze him just like this, right?
We switched around our front room from a dining room to a living room, and I think it turned out pretty good!
Just a beautiful sunset on a Monday. My new favorite part of our house is watching the sunsets at night. It makes me so happy
Santa 2016! Cannon was pretty okay with him, Capri asked for a "present", Parker asked for a "Lego set", and Brody just told Santa to "surprise me". ha! Thank you to our new church ward for a fantastic party! My family had a ball.
Just watching the laundry:
Magnatile creations by Parker:
On to 2017!
