December So Far...

I swear December never ceases to amaze me with how busy it is. Throw in a graduation, company, and traveling for Christmas and wow is it crazy. I wanted to get caught up really quickly on a few of our December photos. We'll have a bunch of posts I'm sure, so I want to get the beginning of the month out of the way!
First of all, just a couple pictures from the zoo. We LOVE going to the Boise Zoo in the winter because it's pretty much a private party. There's very few other people there so we love it! It does get a little cold, though! :)
Pictures in the monster hat just don't get old. :)

My boys getting along! Hooray! I think December brings out a little crazy in all of us and my boys have been no exception lately. Hiding from Mom apparently solves conflict?!
Church Christmas Party. Brody and his best buddy Blake were so excited to get to sit together. They talked about all kinds of important things like which kind of cookie to eat!
The rare picture of them both smiling and looking at us!
Our primary did a nativity program for the kids. Brody insisted on being a shepherd because his "Little Critter's Christmas" book that he's read most every night in December has little critter being a shepherd. I was actually really proud of myself because I figured out how to sew that shepherd costume. Gramma Harley, I thought you'd like a picture! I've only sewn something with sleeves one other time and it was about 6 years ago with a pattern and Jared's Grandma helping me every step of the way. I'm a very beginner sewer so I was really glad it turned out okay! As a Primary Presidency we decided next year we're foregoing the staffs, though. Brody wasn't the only offender, but they all started using their imaginations on what they sticks could be used for. Can't reach the lights? Brody has a fix for that!
Not entirely sure what we're doing here, but it's something... :)
Brody the shepherd with Blakey the sheep. I love this picture!
 Someone saw Santa come in!!
Parker LOVES Santa. Ran over to him and told him all kinds of things with his hands, etc. Brody also loves Santa. He told him he wanted racing tracks, cars with eyes (Cars movie cars with faces, not matchbox cars....picky, picky), and a new Geotrax train. I have lots of pictures of them on Santa's lap and although this isn't the best one of Brody, I thought Parker was so funny. He has been making this face a lot lately and I think it's hilarious!
 Santa Parker
One of the reasons I haven't been blogging. Last week I was up until 1 a.m. or later making everything from cake balls to oreo truffles to regular truffles, cookies, teacher presents, Christmas presents, etc. My body may take 6 months to recover from the amount of sugar I have consumed in December. These babies were WAY too good. (Don't look too closely. They're definitely 1 a.m. quality)
Date night out to the KPMG Christmas Party. Hooray for MORE dessert! (Holy cow!)
My boys before church today. We did our Christmas program today because so many people were going to be out of town for Christmas Day. Brody got to get up and sang with the primary and it went better than the Primary program did, so that was a plus! I just thought they looked very handsome. "Parker, I'll give you a jelly bean if you smile!":

Not sure why this one is so out of order, but I'll add it for the blog book. Parker's crazy hair just before his haircut last week. LOVE it! :)
Well, that's it for now. I hope you are all surviving your December and eating less chocolate than I have been! *Note: please excuse any typos, grammatical errors, etc. It's 1 a.m. AGAIN! How does this keep happening?!*

And So It Begins...

My conversation with Brody after pre-school yesterday went something like this:

Mom: "So, Brody, who did you sit by in pre-school today?"
Brody: "Blake, Zac, and Sara." (I perk up...this is the first time I've ever heard him talk about a girl)
Mom: "Oh really, are they your friends?"
Brody: "Oh yeah. Blake is my best friend, but Sara and I smiled a lot at each other today. We smiled at each other during snack time and circle time." (I perk up even more!)
Mom: "Oh really?! What does Sara look like?" (I'm not sure which little girl she is)
Brody (after thinking for a bit answers very seriously and with hand gestures): "She's very quiet and gentle." (I bust up laughing inside but don't let him know so I don't embarrass him and ruin this conversation!)
Mom: "Does she have blonde hair like you or brown hair like Blake?"
Brody (while cupping his hands around his cheeks): "Her hair just goes around her face."

And then the subject was dropped. I relayed this story to his teacher in an e-mail (I actually wrote for something else but I knew she'd like this story) and his teacher said Sara is VERY shy and quiet. I thought it was so cute that that's how he described her. "Gentle" will forever remind me of my sweet Brody describing the first little girl he's ever "smiled a lot at".

Halloween Pre-school picture: Sara is on the front row furthest to the right with the brown hair. She is a very cute little girl (just maybe not the best picture)! Between this little episode and Parker climbing falling out of his crib yesterday morning, my boys are growing up too fast. Thankfully I think Parker's episode scared him so he hasn't tried that again. Hopefully we can hold off on the big boy bed a little longer. I'm not ready for a middle of the night visitor again quite yet! :)

They all look super excited, don't they?! Brody actually scared the little girl in the middle on the front row with his Captain America costume when  he ran in the house. Thankfully, it looks like she recovered. :) Ashley, this is an adorable picture of Hailey!

Hopefully I don't really have to worry about girls for a LONG time. It can be cute for now, right?! :)
