Rexburg Rapids

Another item on the boy's Idaho summer bucket list was Rexburg Rapids. Only problem is that Idaho isn't quite warm enough for the water park. We went on the warmest day where the high was 85. When we weren't in the water it was pretty darn cold! The water was freezing also, but it didn't stop my little people from having a wonderful time! Capri is at such a fun age where she's experiencing all of these fun things for the first time. She LOVED the water slides. I can't tell you how many times we did this!

I love these happy faces!

Brody loved going around and around in the lazy river. He is such a fishy!

I love this picture of my beautiful girl.
The rest of our crew trying to keep warm. ha!
These two pictures crack me up. Parker is totally my mini me.
While I was at my parent's house I went through and made some books of my pictures from when I was little. I love finding these little treasures. This picture has my parents, my sisters Kimmy, Shannon, and Ash, my Grandma and Grandpa Burden and my Grandpa Burden's mom, Grandma Grace.
These are my grandparents on the other side. Also pictured are my brother Bill, his first wife Patty and daughter Heather, and my sisters Kimmy, Shannon, and Ash. I can't believe how much my dad looks like his dad now.
Just a cute picture of the 3 of us. I see a little of Capri in Ashley and I's faces. I love it.

Bear World

We took our annual Bear World trip also. My boys always have a checklist of things they want to do while we're in Idaho and Bear World is always near the top! I'm so happy that they love going so much. Capri was tall enough for the rides this year and she's definitely an adrenaline junky like her brothers. She kept saying "hands up!" I love watching them have so much fun at Bear World. It really is the best!

That night I was lucky enough to attend the Special Needs Institute with Kaylee and Ashley. Ashley has been taking Kaylee for months and has become one of the helpers for the other special needs adults that go there. I love Ash and her big heart. I love Kaylee too!

Yellowstone National Park

We were lucky enough to take our annual Yellowstone trip this year again! I introduced the kids to the license plate game and Ash was annoyed she couldn't see the plates of the oncoming cars very well. Who knew we'd have so many uses for binoculars!
These guys are huge. I love his little eye just looking at us. We saw so many right on the side of the road. Capri even learned how to say "bison".
Just some pictures in front of the waterfalls in the "Grand Canyon of Yellowstone". So beautiful!

Funny story. See Brody's shoes? Yep, those are Ashley's. We got an hour and a half from home and stopped to use the restroom. As we go to get out Brody says, "Oh wait, I didn't bring any shoes!" !!!!! We were going to be doing hiking and we weren't exactly close to any Targets. Thankfully Ashley had an extra pair of flip flops in the car. Thank goodness she has tiny feet. They were still too big for him but he managed and really was a good sport about it. Didn't complain about them at all!
 Cutest little hikers:

We had picked out one other hike to do that was about a mile long to the base of a waterfall. Well, we got there and hiked a ways in before seeing some signs that said the bottom part of the trail was under construction and you couldn't see the falls from past that point. Well, everyone else kept going so we decided we'd just give it a go. It was a very steep, downhill hike to the bottom. Brody slipped and fell and cut his foot (probably his lack of proper footwear, but we're not bringing that back up), but he continued on like such a trooper. I carried Capri on my back and pretty much ran back up the switchbacks. I knew if I stopped I wouldn't be able to get back up. It was quite the workout! She sure looks cute back there, though! She thought the whole thing was great fun!

Just a few more pictures from around Yellowstone. I've been there so many times but it always seem like I find new experiences. How cool would it be to see it on horseback?

 Petrified Tree...

Some of the elk that were absolutely everywhere! Just hanging out!
