I don't know if Obstacle Warrior Kids was the culprit or something else, but Capri somehow managed to get a staph infection in her toe. It was very painful for her and required a round of antibiotics after they drained it. Never a dull moment in the Musick house. Poor girl!
Keeping a close eye on what the nurse was doing...
Grandpa has a new friend...Melt my heart.
I think they like each other.
He loved meeting Aunt Ashabash too!
She tried to teach him her favorite game of "stick out your tongue" but he mostly just thought she was funny.
Daddy came back into town from Delaware where he had been able to attend a Phillies game in Philadelphia. He brought back a hat that a cute little misses promptly stole.
We went to Costco to get bins and when you have a baby in the cart, they don't quite fit! The boys had a lot of fun walking around and calling themselves bin-heads. Oh to be a little kid again. :)
Cannon man just keeps getting bigger and continues to be the brightest spot in our house during this crazy time. He's almost 4 months now!
I could stare at this little face forever.
Reason #547 why writing utensils are controlled substances in our house. She had never in her life colored on anything but paper, but I think she was taking advantage of the fact that mom was busy and distracted with baby and moving. She colored with crayon on our slate tile and highlighter on our carpet the day after we put it on the market. It's a miracle we all survived! She loves "How to Train Your Dragon" so she said she was just trying to make herself look like "hiccup". ha!
Why my 8 year old still fits in a jumbo I'll never know!
Discovering his feet
In my thirty-one bag!
Showing off his abs. He grabbed his shirt like this for a couple of days and it cracked me up every time!
Just chilling with my swaddled, sleepy baby. I wish I could freeze him!
Cannon still looks most like Capri, but Parker (left) is coming in a close second!
Parker got a new backpack and promptly outfitted it so he looked "like a teenager". He kills me and I think he's such a handsome boy!
The kids drew pictures for Sammy as he is in the middle of boot camp for the Army. I loved this picture Brody drew all by himself. I hope it made Sammy smile!
Since we were moving right before Brody's birthday and he was afraid he wouldn't have friends yet, we decided to have one last hoorah birthday/goodbye party for the boys. It was great to get to see so many of their cute friends in one place before we moved. Brody chose a glow party at Pump It Up and all the boys had a blast!
Happy boys! L-R Hayden, Parker, Alex, Grayson, Brody, Will, Jackson, Brayden, Hudsen, Max, and Corbyn.
He's been really into Star Wars lately and loved his talking Darth Vader head.
Just my tired, exhausted self trying to enjoy a minute with my newborn. SO hard this month!
My first time taking all the kids out to eat by myself so we could eat "kids eat free" one more time at Cristina's before we leave. That place has saved my sanity on more than one occasion as Jared has traveled these last few years and boy will I miss brisket tacos!
Grateful.
Just my happy boy getting bigger all the time. 3 months old!
Best Brothers.
We tried to get together with our next door neighbors so many times while we lived there and it just never happened. We finally got to go swimming in their pool and all the kids had a ball! You definitely need one of those to survive TX summers!
There's a whole lotta this going on. Brody is such a great helper and Cannon just loves him!
Angel face:
On our food de Texas tour that we won't have when we leave, we went to Bahama Bucks. I didn't discover this place until right before we moved and I'm so bummed. It is SO good and perfect for Texas heat! It even had a drive thru!
The facial expressions on this girl:
I also braved the movie theater with al 4 kids by myself! Baby's first movie was Ice Age.
I know I take too many pictures of this baby, I just can't help myself. I'm trying to remember every minute!
hahaha No wonder my kids love to FaceTime my parents:
Every year we lived in Texas we left all summer on a big vacation. This whole summer has felt like I was just getting ready for a long vacation. I wonder when this will seem real! T minus 7 days. Looking back I have no idea how I did almost all of this myself. Blur I tell you!
Loving her new outfit from Aunt B. :)
The boys had to get in on the picture taking too.
Capri came to find me while I was packing one day so proud of herself telling me, "Mom, I gave the flashlight to the baby." The baby was sleeping so I was a little confused. Well, not only did she give it to him, she gave him light!
Since we are all about change right now (boo!), we said goodbye to our very first car we bought as a newly married couple 12 years ago. It has moved with us 13 times, driven from west coast to east coast and through almost every state in between. It was one of the last models where a standard transmission was an option and when we bought it, I couldn't even drive it. Jared taught me and it was our only car for 5 years of our marriage. To say Jared is sad is a huge understatement. It was such a good car and it will be missed!
Well, the day finally came. Our Texas adventure came to an end. The house was packed, we ate our last Tex-Mes, said our goodbyes to many friends, and slept in our Texas home one last time. When we moved there Parker was Capri's age and we brought two babies home to that house. We loved our time in Frisco and it makes me teary every time I think about my friends I'm leaving behind. On to the next chapter...
Brody and his best buddy, Corbyn.
