Brody's 9 Month Pictures

Thanks again to Aunt B we have some new wonderful pictures of our Brody boy. He is getting so big I can't believe it :) I have loved watching this little person grow up and boy is he entertaining now days! Thank you to Bethany :) We love them!

Goldfish

I forgot I had this video on my camera when I posted our other pictures from California. As Brody is getting older and trying new foods, his dislike of some foods cracks us up. When we were in CA we discovered that he didn't really like goldfish. This was a video we took of him trying some goldfish.

Even though he acted like it was the most disgusting thing he'd ever tasted, the next day he ate them just fine :) He is such a funny boy!

Introducing.....

In the Musick house we have some very exciting news :) This is what Brody thinks about it: (Read his bib carefully) Yes, that's right Brody is going to be a big brother. He is actually going to be a very busy big brother as he's going to have two little brothers or sisters :) I am currently about 10 weeks pregnant with a set of identical twins. Shocking, I know :) Jared and I were both extremely shocked as twins don't run in either side of our family (although we've since learned that identical twins aren't genetic at all, they just happen) and I never in a million years would've thought I'd be pregnant with twins. Now, obviously with my history of miscarriage we're not in the clear yet, but we figured most of you knew already and a few of you have asked for pictures, so I thought I'd go ahead and post it. They both have really strong little heartbeats and are looking very good. At first they thought they were fraternal with all of their own stuff, but I went to a perinatologist with better equipment who said they are actually identical. They have their own sacs, but they share the placenta which makes them identical. This is going to be a long journey for us as I was a high-risk pregnancy before throwing two of them in there, so this might get a little interesting. I am technically due January 19th, but the Dr. said the latest he'd take them was January 5th. My perinatalogist said that my chances of even making it to 34 or 35 weeks is very low so they may come before that. (I have other compounding problems besides just having twins that makes my chances for pre-term labor very high) He said our goal is 30 weeks, so hopefully we can make it to there. My Dr. told me every possible horrible thing that could happen, so we're saying lots of prayers that this turns out okay. We could use all the extra prayers we can get :) Of course everything he threw at me was statistics, so everything could turn out just fine and I would be soooooo grateful! We are both extremely excited and feel very blessed that Heavenly Father has given us this opportunity. We know it'll be quite a trial having 3 children under 17 months when they're born, but if Heavenly Father allows us this blessing, we will gladly take it. I will try and keep everyone as informed as possible (I want Kbabe to be able to sleep at night without worrying :) haha) My next appts. are the 7th and 9th of July. Hopefully things will still be going well at that time. We'll let you know :) Here are a few pictures for those of you who requested them. Ultrasound pictures are always a little tough to read, but I tried to label them a little so you could know what you were looking at.

This one is actually a 3D picture of both of them. You can't really see it in the pictures very well, but on the screen we could see they're little hands and legs wiggling all around. They were very very cute :)

One of the two of them together--not a very good picture I know, but you get the idea :)
So, that's it from here. It's exciting but very scary. I had no idea how many risks were involved with having twins--especially identical twins. We are looking forward to the journey, though, and we pray for a positive outcome :)

Finally A New Post :)

Sorry it's been so long since I've posted. I've been in California for about 3 weeks on vacation with Jared's family. It was very eventful and so much fun! First on the agenda was Sammy's graduation from High School. He graduated with a 4.0!! Way to go Sam!!

It looks like Sam has a halo (of course he is an angel) but in this particular picture those are stadium lights :)

The next day Sam had his Eagle Court of Honor with his cousin Kevin Andersen and their 2nd cousin Matthew Hunt. It was quite the event and we are very proud of all of you!

One great part of the trip was being able to see the family that we don't get to see very often. Gramma Harley and Papa Donn came down from Sacramento for the festivities. Brody really enjoyed both of them!

Brody especially liked playing with Papa's glasses on the couch
I went over and stayed with Bethany and Jordan for a few days while Cathy drove Sam to Idaho to start school. We had such a great time and I think that's going to be a ritual from now on when we visit Bakersfield :) I also got to go see my sweet friend Katrena and her kiddos. Enzo loved following Brody around and giving him kisses. Katrena must have some good pictures of this, because I think they were looking her direction most the time :) They were too cute! I also got to go out to dinner with my friends Becky and Diana and over to my other friend's Aaron and Amy's house for dinner. It was so fun seeing our friends we hadn't seen in a while! The next weekend Jordan graduated from CSUB. Kelsey and Lance came down from Sacramento with the boys and it was so fun to have all of us together. Congratulations Jordan!!

In honor of Jordan's graduation and his birthday Bethany threw him a party. It was so much fun! Brody had so much fun in the bounce house and in the pool. There was an adult slip n slide that the adults had a great time on!

Jared tried sending Brody down the slip n slide, but he didn't like it very much!

Swimming with Dada in the poolBrody had a lot of fun in Mimi's bath tub with Erik and Brock. They were so funny. I didn't get a good one of all three of them where they're all decent, so I split them up. I love this picture. Brock's face is hilarious :) Brody also loved playing at Mimi's house in the windows. He and Brock had so much fun together!Erik BrockBrock liked to give Brody hugsThe boys all togetherLook who found his nose!!

The last 4 days of our trip were a Musick family reunion which I'm now realizing I didn't take any pictures of! It was so busy, but we did a lot of fun things. We went to the beach, had a movie night, a picnic, etc. We got to see all of Jared's cousins, aunts and uncles, and grandparents. It was so fun to see everyone, I just wish we could've spent a little more time with them!
