2nd Half of September

Soccer season is in full swing and Parker loved having a cheering section. He's really loving playing soccer this year and has discovered that he's a great defender. His coach calls on him a lot to play defense. Brody and Capri like the cheering section additions also. :)
Just getting ready for Halloween a month early as I couldn't resist these matching glow in the dark jimmies. Even baby is a bag of bones!
We were still able to swim well into September thanks to warm Bakersfield weather. Cannon just liked the goggles.
But not so much the water. Ha!

Some of our favorite time spent in Bakersfield was just playing outside and swimming. Jared loved joining us on the weekends and the kids really valued that fun time with Dad. I think these pictures speak for themselves!

I was taking the boys' pictures for picture day and someone didn't want to be left out. Cute girl eating breakfast.
 Picture day!

I really loved having a piano to play and practice on. Oh how I miss playing the piano. Jared's favorite song is "Clair de lune" by Debussy. I ordered the book and wanted to learn it for him as a surprise for Christmas. We ended up moving before I could learn the whole thing, but I got through the first 3 pages. There is something so relaxing and therapeutic about playing a beautiful song like this.
Middle of the night shenanigans again. Seriously, what does she do at night?!

Just a handsome 5 months old baby fox!
I found an awesome sale on princess dresses at Target. Capri LOVES them! Prettiest Repunzel around!
Capri's tooth had a fight with a porcelain sink in a Taco Bell restroom. She chipped her tooth but thankfully didn't do any other damage. Just one more reason not to visit Taco Bell.
 Bed head.

Capri playing dress up with her best Bakersfield buddy, Drea. They had a lot of fun together!
One of our other favorite things in Bakersfield: dog piles with our cousins!!

First half of September

September was a busy, busy month of settling in to our temporary life in Bakersfield. We loved spending time with grandparents and cousins!
Jared got to go out to Georgia with his Mom and Dad to see Sammy graduate from Basic Training in the Army. He loved getting to see Sam and spend that time with them. Sammy looks so grown up! We are very proud of him. Parker gets a little nervous about Uncle Sam being in the Army, but he says lots of prayers for him and that makes him feel better. :)
Over labor day weekend we got to go up to Sacramento for Gramma Harley's Birthday party! It was a fun filled, crazy weekend with lots of family and lots of fun. It's always fun to get to spend time in Sacramento.
Mimi and Poppi got in on the picture taking action also. Cute kids!
The Musick cousins
Having lunch on the porch at Gramma and Papa's house.

Dog piles with Daddy/Uncle Jared!
"Helping Gramma read all 80 of her birthday cards for her 80th birthday.
The two youngest cousins, Cannon and Torah.

Almost 5 month baby boy in overalls. LOVE.
The boys still love Cannon to tuck them in at night. I don't think he minds. :) Cutest brothers!

The boys had "Grandparents Day" at school. Mimi and Poppi had gone to Georgia to be with Sam, so my boys were lucky enough to bring their Great-Grandparents to school. It was such a special day for my boys. I'm so grateful that they have been able to get to know their great-grandparents. G-gmom felt bad for the other kids who didn't have grandparents. One little girl told her that her grandma had just passed away and started to cry. G-gmom thought maybe she'd like to go to the school to volunteer from now on to be a surrogate grandparent for the kids who don't have one. I thought that was so sweet and very typical of Grandma. We sure love these two!

Being silly with her cousins...
Sweet little Ro Ro
Just my two daytime buddies
I'm sure this is the first of many pictures of Capri hanging out with her big brother and their friends. Trouble.
Sometimes middle of the night shenanigans catch up to her the next day. We had to take every light out of her room so she'd stop waking up in the night and partying. How does she still look so beautiful when sleeping?!
Best cousins.

That sweet little guy in the middle is 5 months old! It seems like he's been a part of our family for so much longer than that. He is still adored by his siblings, loves his mom, and can now roll from back to front. It's been a sleep game changer even though the best frustrated he can't roll himself back over yet. He thinks blowing bubbles and sticking out his tongue are the best things ever and he makes friends wherever he goes. Not sure what we'd do without you Cannon man!
Park day with big brothers and trying to figure out the swings!

Playing peek a boo with baby

He's either really happy or trying to eat me!
Having lunch with the big boys at school and thinking she fits right in.

The info sheets from Grandma and Grandpa. I love these treasures so much!

These redeye flights and long weeks are tough on Jared. He came to talk to me doing laundry....ha!
